Module 1 – Drugs Dynamisation or Potentisation
Drug dynamization is a process that adds special value to Homeopathy as a whole. This module will allow the learner to gain in-depth knowledge about this process of preparation of Homeopathic medicines.
Module 2 – Potentisation – Drug, Medicine & Remedy
This module will discuss the main differences between these three terms that are often used in our daily practice in different contexts but have a great importance in Homeopathy with their literal meanings.
Module 3 – Various Scales in Homeopathic Pharmacy
This module discusses the concept of scales used to maintain uniformity of strength of various potencies in homeopathic pharmacy.
Module 4 – Mother Tincture and its Preparation – Old Methods
This module explains the old methods that had been laid down by our master Dr Hahnemann for the preparation of Mother Tinctures. Each class of drugs will be dealt with, in detail.
Module 5 – Mother Tincture and its Preparation – New Methods
This module discusses the new or the modern methods introduced, later on. The module also covers the method of preparation of sarcodes and nosodes.
Module 6 – Mother Tincture and its Preparation – GHP and HPUS
This module explores the preparation of mother tinctures according to the instructions given in the two fundamental pharmacopoeias which are the German Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia and the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of United States. Each class of drugs will be discussed separately and in detail.
Module 7 – External applications
This module gives the learner an insight into the concept of External Applications, their importance in Homeopathy with extra emphasis upon some important preparations like Lotions, Glycerol, Liniments, and Ointments. The learner will also come to know about the detail of external applications as given in the Homeopathic Literature.
Module 8 – Doctrine of signature
This module introduces and elaborates upon the concept of Doctrine of Signature and their use in history along with different examples picked up from nature with their relation to Homeopathy.
Module 9 – Prescription Writing
Prescription is an important tool in every physician’s hand. So this module will discuss- How to write a prescription properly with reference to the parts of a prescription with examples and the various abbreviations to be used while writing a prescription.
Module 10 – Dispensing of Medicine
This module will talk about different substances used for medication, what dispensing actually is and what are the different methods of dispensing of medicines.
Module 11 – Concept of Placebo
The module introduces the learner to the concept of Placebo, its importance, significance and use in the field of Homeopathy.
Module 12 – Posology
This module explores the concept of Posology as a whole, focusing upon the question- How does the homeopathic posology differ from the other systems. Further, it covers the details of the topics like- How to select a potency, what are the types of potency and how to repeat them etc.
Module 13 – Pharmaconomy – Routes of Homeopathic Drug Administration
Homeopathic medicines can be administered through various routes apart from the conventional oral route. This module will elaborate upon all routes of administrations that may be used for giving a homeopathic medicine to the patient under different circumstances, as advised by Dr. Hahnemann in the Organon of Medicine.
Module 14 – Basics of Adverse Drug Reactions and Pharmaco-vigilance
This module will acquaint the learner with the concept of Pharmaco-vigilance – a topic which holds great importance in each pathy. In addition, it will also enable the learner to understand the various adverse drug reactions that may be encountered in practice.
